Shamanic Drum Circle
With Ilona Dovey
2 Workshops. 30 places per workshop. Approx 90 Minutes in length
Monday 2nd November - Forres
Wednesday 4th November - Elgin
Ilona has been offering sound baths since completing training with Suzy Soundsphere in 2022. What began as a simple practice has unfolded into a deeply profound journey - returning to the voice, opening to a deeper connection, and witnessing the healing that naturally arises within a safely held space. It is experienced as a true gift.
Each session weaves together a variety of instruments and voice to create immersive soundscapes that support deep relaxation, release, and inner balance on both physical and emotional levels.
Ilona is also a holistic practitioner, holding space for clients through a range of complementary modalities and practices. This wider experience brings a grounded, intuitive, and nurturing quality to every session, supporting each individual’s process with care and presence.
Shamanic Drum Circle
Ilona has been holding shamanic drumming circles for over five years, guiding others through the ancient, healing power of the drum. She has been crafting her own shamanic drums since 2018, a journey that continues to deepen and unfold within her.
Ilona is a practicing shamanic practitioner, trained with the Edinburgh Shamanic Centre, and carries teachings passed down from the Matsés tribe of the Amazon jungle. Her work goes far beyond drumming alone. Within each circle, she creates a safe and sacred space, working with the Celtic medicine wheel, Nature and her Baltic roots to open the space and invite in the spirit guides and ancestors to walk alongside us.
Each circle weaves together ceremony, sound, and shamanic journeying, gently guiding participants to connect with the drum, with their own intuition, and with the wisdom held within. Together, we release what no longer serves us, and invite balance back into the body, the mind, and the soul. Through sound and shamanic journey, Ilona invites us to dive deeper into the ancient healing power that shamanic work holds.
If you are new to the circle, there is nothing to worry about. You do not need to own a drum, as Ilona will have drums available for you to use on the day. No experience is needed, only an open heart, and a willingness to share, to receive, and to journey together.
Come as you are, and let the drum carry you home to your heart "
