Glasgow's Bobby Motherwell - the singer, songwriter and poet behind Sulidae - brings one of Scotland's most quietly powerful live experiences to the festival.

Named for the family of gannets that cut white lines across our coasts, Sulidae is solo music that feels both rooted and wide-open. Bobby, from Glasgow and now based in Howwood, Renfrewshire, is also Poet in Residence at RSPB Lochwinnoch, where he spends his days writing, photographing wildlife, and letting the wetlands work their way into his songs. That deep connection to landscape is everywhere in his work.

His solo albums Kitchen Sink Dharma (2022/23) and ...an invincible summer (15 tracks of tender, hard-won hope) have drawn critical acclaim for their rare blend of poetry, storytelling and heartfelt songcraft. On stage he is intimate and completely engaging - award-nominated songwriting that can turn from a whispered confession to a room-wide singalong in a breath.

A regular at Oran Mor, Belladrum's Verb Garden, and stages across Scotland, Sulidae has shared bills with everyone from Blue Rose Code's Lyle Watt to harmonica legend Fraser Speirs, and recent duo shows with fellow songwriter Michael McMillan have been described as heartfelt, uplifting and deeply engaging.

The Devil's Forfeit are a rock 'n' roll band with dirt under their fingernails and fire in their gut. Hailing from Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders, this four-piece blends the grit of blues with the stomp of classic rock, delivering riff-heavy songs that feel both road-worn and razor-sharp.

Formed in late 2023, The Devil's Forfeit have quickly built a reputation for tight, high-voltage live sets that channel the raw swagger of vintage Stones, the southern bite of Creedence Clearwater Revival and the melodic crunch of early Zeppelin. Their sound is steeped in blues tradition but never stuck in the past- lean, loud and unafraid to swing hard.

Their original material has been called "toe-tapping and delightful" (BluesBlaster UK), while their lead vocals and guitar work are praised as "sensationally strong and unmistakably authentic." Early gigs include support slots for German blues-rock outfit Blue Deal and UK slide-guitar powerhouse Troy Redfern, setting the stage for a breakout year.

Wolves of Sutor is a classic blues/rock quartet of experienced musicians creating a powerhouse group dedicated to reviving music from the 1960s and 1970s – the decades of innocence and creativity.

The set remembers classic blues standards from the ‘Kings of Blues’ and others and presents upbeat and accessible rock adaptations from the likes of Nazareth, Free, The Who, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, amongst others. Some shows include a short interval of unplugged acoustic tracks, after which the set then continues, and with a sprinkling of powerful, complex and compelling sounds from the Led Zeppelin archive. This rock revival show is family-friendly event suitable for all age groups; either those re-discovering the sounds of their youth, or those born into the modern era developing a love for real live blues and rock, played by four highly accomplished musicians, faithfully bringing the sounds to life.

He goes by the name Absent Luke, a moniker that reflects his past experiences and a lifelong struggle with never feeling truly present in his spaces from a young age. His musical journey in rap and hip-hop began among friends around the age of 18 and has remained a constant throughout his life. Having battled long periods of addiction and depression, he has always found peace and serenity in creating songs and expressing himself through his art. This year, he has managed to keep his demons at bay, focusing his energy on his music and his two children. He has been composing tracks with the vision of developing his Journeyman EP, a project that chronicles his struggles. The EP is designed to take listeners on a lyrical and melodic journey that expresses his deep emotions, aiming to remove the stigma surrounding both mental health and addiction. By offering a personal insight into the dark depths and the eventual light where music helped him heal and develop as a person, he hopes to touch hearts and inspire positive change in a world full of struggle. Ultimately, his message and goal with this EP is to reach out, remind others that they are not alone, and show that people can always reflect together and understand one another.
