Intergenerational Singing Walks

An inclusive, community-based activity where children, adults, and older people come together to enjoy a gentle walk in the beautiful highlands while singing familiar songs. Combining walking with singing encourages deeper, more controlled breathing, helping to improve breath awareness and support respiratory health. The sessions also promote physical activity, social connection, creativity, and emotional wellbeing, while fostering meaningful relationships across generations through shared music, conversation, and time spent outdoors. No singing experience is required—everyone is welcome.

Aberlour:
This is a pleasant trail taking in scenic paths and picturesque settings as you make your way from Aberlour, along the burn and past the distillery, before making a loop through the woodlands and out to the Linn Falls. Enjoy the lovely views and keep an eye out for wildlife as you make your way beside the water and between the trees, but take care on the rougher sections, especially in wetter conditions. Appropriate footwear is advised.

Roseisle:
This trail offers a nice variety of scenery as it takes you on a lovely sheltered walk through the mature pine woodland of Roseisle Forest, and returns along the sandy beach. The trail follows a relatively level path and offers some stunning coastal views along the way. It's a great walk to do with the kids, as it is suitable for all ages and a wide range of fitness levels.
