Elgin Music Day - 17th October 2026

Our opening day in Elgin, will be packed with some amazing talent. 

Celtic Folk Fusion band Brother Sea’s music is that of departure, adventure and new beginnings, sweeping you away with a sense of boldness and innocence. With hypnotic vocals accompanied by classic folk instruments, they create a sense of awe and intrigue with songs like campfire stories exploring heritage and folklore as they gently flicker through captivating soundscapes.

Foo Fifers, Scotlands Ultimate Foo Fighters Tribute,  bring all the Rock n’ Roll energy you expect. The Drums, Guitars and rasping vocals in some of the most anthemic Rock songs in the past 30 years! Everlong, Monkey Wrench, My Hero and Best of You, plus many more.

Formed by the enigmatic Hud, The Hollowmen emerged from the shadows with a unique blend of lyrical depth and musical prowess. Drawing inspiration from the haunting poetry of T.S. Eliot, Hud’s lyrics delve into the darker corners of the human experience, exploring themes of existential angst, personal turmoil, and the stark realities of life. Musically, The Hollowmen channel the raw energy and storytelling brilliance of their influences. With the rebellious spirit of The Replacements, the heartfelt narratives of Bruce Springsteen, and the timeless rock ‘n’ roll essence of The Rolling Stones, their sound is both nostalgic and refreshingly original. Each track is a journey, weaving together powerful melodies and poignant lyrics that resonate deeply with their audience.

Brian Rawson was the guitar player in the Belfast band, The Tearjerkers(Good Vibrations/Phonogram), who toured with Thin Lizzy, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Doll by Doll and Rachel Sweet.He played guitar with Jimmy Bain (Rainbow/ Wild Horses/Dio) on demos for the band, Rogue Male on which Jimmy produced and played bass before relocating to the U.S. where he played guitar on singer/songwriterJon Lacabanne's album "Amen", The Groove Monsters debut album and Gary Stipe & Whiskey Hill’s E.P.He recorded all the guitars on Irish singer/songwriter, Deidre Cunningham's album "Sunny Days" and returned to the U.S. to play aone-off gig in Nashville with "Handsome" Mick Rowe's band, "Nineteen 88" before returning to the UK where he joined Brian Connollyin "Sweet" for a UK tour. He formed the Brian Rawson Band ten years ago in Glasgow, and the band has clocked up hundreds of gigs throughout the years, both here in the UK and Ireland, including major festivals such as the Maryport Blues Festival, HRH Blues (Twice) and the Norfolk Blues Festival, to name but a few.

Emma and John (That Bloke & Herself) have both been playing in local bands (DASHH, Strange Weather, Northern Voices, Absolute Harmonix, Calico Black) for the last decade or so, occasionally meeting up to give impromptu performances as a duo at open mic sessions. In 2023, they decided to make it a little more formal and became That Bloke & Herself (a name overheard in a bar, the speaker obviously unable to remember their names!). Their music is a combination of classic pop/rock/soul from the 80s onward, and original tunes that they co-write.

Based in the Scottish Cairngorms near Kirriemuir, Katie H. Hughes is a passionate musician known for her captivating blend of Classical Crossover, infused with elements of folk, rock, and pop. With a rich sound shaped by influences like John Martyn, Florence and the Machine, and Damien Rice, she has been making waves in the music scene since the release of her debut EP Buzz on By in 2021, and her single Get You Back in 2022. Industry insiders have praised her work, noting "Katie's music resonates on a personal level, intertwining heartfelt storytelling with stunning arrangements".
